The timeline and NOW
How stops, tracks and the NOW line lay out your story from top to bottom.
Every project is one timeline that runs from top to bottom. It has three parts: stops, tracks and the NOW line.
Stops
A stop is a moment in your story: a launch, a week, an episode, a round. Cards sit at stops. Add, rename and reorder stops in Project setup (under the project title). A stop can have a short second line, like a date.
Tracks
Tracks are the lanes cards sit in, each with its own colour. The spine is your main line and runs down the middle. Threads hang off to one side (production work, puzzles, a running mystery). Left and right tracks show up when the line splits; see paths and forks.
NOW
Everything above NOW is what players have already seen: it’s canon, so treat it as fixed. Everything below NOW is still being built, and is open to change. When a stop goes live, move the NOW line below it in Project setup and mark its cards Canon.
Moving things
Editors drag cards between stops and tracks. Admins can lock the layout in Project setup so only admins move cards (writing and notes still work), which helps once a season is running.
